There Are Angels

The night started out kind of quiet.
We were all sleeping out under the stars.
It got to be around midnight
When a great light rose up in our hearts.

We all looked around in amazement.
The night was becoming as bright as the day.
And everywhere there was music-
The heavens had something to say.

Oh, there were Angels !
They were coming down out of the stars.
There were Angels,
Singing "Glory to God !"

We heard them say, "Do not be frightened.
We bring great news of a wonderful birth.
Glory to God in the highest !
And peace to all children on earth."

Oh, there were Angels !
They were coming down out of the stars.
There were Angels,
Singing, "Glory to God !"

And now when the night's kind of quiet,
Everyone sleeping out under the stars,
It gets to be around midnight ,
And a great light still shines in our hearts.

For, there are Angels !
They're still coming down out of the stars !
There are Angels,
Singing, "Glory to God!"
